Standing with the Blue, Securing the
Border, and Reclaiming Law & Order

Last week marked National Police Week, a time when our nation gathers to honor the brave men and women who put on the uniform, walk out the door, and risk everything to keep our families safe.
Addressing the 45th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service at the U.S. Capitol, Vice President JD Vance delivered a powerful, heartfelt message to the families of our fallen heroes. He didn’t just offer empty platitudes; he delivered a fundamental truth that the radical left has spent years trying to erase: Public safety is the bedrock of a strong nation, and our law enforcement officers are the backbone of that safety.
As Vice President Vance noted, we are finally seeing nationwide declines in violent crime categories—including murders and robberies—reversing the chaotic trends of previous years. But this progress didn’t happen by accident, and it certainly didn’t happen by catering to the “defund the police” activists. It happened because of a deliberate, unapologetic return to law and order and a commitment to secure our borders.
The Link Between the Border and Our Streets
For too long, Washington politicians treated crime and border security as two separate issues. They aren’t. Under the Trump-Vance administration, federal policy has re-established a simple truth: a nation without borders is a nation without laws.
By taking handcuffs off our immigration enforcement officers and putting them back on transnational gangs and drug cartels, we have choked off the supply lines of deadly fentanyl and violent criminal networks that plague our local communities.
When we secure the border, we protect our neighborhoods. And when we support our local police, we send a clear message to criminals that the era of lawlessness is officially over.
“We can’t repay the sacrifice, but we can honor that sacrifice by making this country safer and stronger and more secure for the people that they served.” — Vice President JD Vance
Rejecting the Soft-on-Crime Ideology
While House Republicans successfully passed resolutions last week to back the blue and express gratitude for our law enforcement, the contrast in Washington couldn’t be sharper. Radical activists and left-wing politicians continue to champion soft-on-crime policies, sanctuary city loopholes, and activist judges who treat criminals like victims and victims like afterthoughts.
This ideology has real, devastating consequences. It results in the tragic ambushes of police officers and the destabilization of working-class communities.
The Vance 2028 vision is built on a different set of values:
- Absolute Support for Law Enforcement: Providing our officers with the training, resources, and legal backing they need to do their jobs.
- Strict Border Enforcement: Continuing to dismantle the cartels and ending the sanctuary city policies that shield illegal alien criminals.
- Accountability in the Justice System: Ensuring that violent offenders stay behind bars, rather than being released back onto our streets through revolving-door bail policies.
Looking Ahead to 2028
The progress we’ve made over the last few years proves that leadership matters. When leaders back the blue, crime goes down. When leaders secure the border, communities become safer.
As we look toward the future and the fight to expand our conservative majorities in the 2026 midterms and beyond, the mission remains clear. We will not apologize for protecting American citizens. We will not back down to the radical left. And we will never, ever stop standing with the men and women who protect our streets.
Join us in this fight to keep America safe, strong, and free.
